    Default TN river 3-20

Had an excellent day out with the wife today. tried the new body of water mentioned yesterday, nogood. loaded up and hit the river. caught several short fish and 7 keepers. fish were in heavy structure 2 to 3 feet deep in 5-7 foot of water. short fish on minners but all keepers were on green and yellow jigs. could not get them to bite any other color. Water temp 56.1 degrees

I fished Cub Creek, Lick Creek, and Rickett's Creek on Thursday and Friday. Fish were scattered and very pickey. Almost had to let the bait just sit there in front of them until they just couldn't stand it any more. On Saturday I went North up to Eagle Creek and the action was alot better.

I haven't tried the crappie yet...not at Clifton anyway. The sauger fishing has been better lately (i hear). The water has been high most all winter.
