I am asking you all your opinion because I fish from the bank and if they are deeper than 10-15ft I can not reach them. I am in North ALabama if anyone is familiar. The temp on g-ville is about 46.

    Thanx

They may be deep. But up in the day when the sun is shining good. The fish will move up . so If you can fish a spot that is near deep water. They just may move up to you.
I know we fish in 30+ ft of water. And use 4 hooks per rod. And by mid day the fish you were catching on the bottom hook. Are now at the top hook.

Here on Douglas, in the mornings and evenings, we do good in about 5-8 feet of water just out of the creekbed. Midday, they take a siesta and move around deeper waters.

mighty, I have been able from time to time all winter long to catch crappie there at the bridge from the bank. Sometimes I have caught them right at the bank in very shallow water. Sometimes I have caught them out between the pillars and they will be holding occasionally only a foot or two under the surface over 15 feet of water. Sometimes they will be on the bottom. They move in and out of there day to day and different times of the day. You should still be able to catch some fish from the bank.
