I usually give mine a count to 8 one thousand, while rotating. Then a quick back and forth swish. It helped me a lot when I started fluffing the paint up first. I just use a toothpick and stir it really good. Also, that is usually with 1/16 oz.
How much heat do you guys apply to jig head before swishing in powder paint? It seems like to much heat equals to much paint.

it all depends on your heat source and the size of your jig i use a heat gun and i count to 4 one thousand for a 1/16 oz jig gives a nice thin coat and if i need more paint i just reheat the jig and dip it again till i get what im looking for. when i was using a lighter i would count to 8 one thousand and on some bigger jigs might even go as high as 14 one thousand
