Went to catarac today didnt get there untill 2pm fished untill 645. Lake is staind up by cunot water temp hit 50 today.Lake is clearer down by state ramp. Fished with minnows all day and threw a jig caught about 70 fish only 18 keepers. Fish were suspended in all depths from 2-17 feet down. Biggest fish was 13.5 inch lots of 8-10 inch fish. They were hitting black and chartres and kalins tn shad tiped with a crappie nibble. Goin to Monroe Fri with Indy.

Nice report... and nice day to be out. Saw a report from JR guide on monroe. They caught a bunch of small ones down there. I may get down there to monroe later today to do a shake down cruise for the season. Prob won't do much fishing tho.

I work on the water so always on it.What can I say just love to fish different lakes and learn more about those specks. Helps wife and kids love fried fish. She is always tellin me to go and have fun. Iam a luckey man.

I went to the tailwaters today, didnt catch athing. A few guys fishing there said they had caught some crappie and walleye a few days before. The only baitshop open was the store/baitshop at the Cunot boat ramp road,minnows were a dollar a dozen and He had plenty.

Johnys bait house moved to cloverdale behind the Marathon gas station. I get my minnows there because his crappie are as big as bass minnows.He has good prices too.

Thanks for the post on the minnows. I was down there Tuesday and couldn't find any. I will check him out next time.
