Skeeterguy, his oldest son, and I went to Wylie Saturday morning. The water was anywhere from 53-59 degrees, but we couldn't get bit. Did catch a nice 3-4# "green carp" and a 3# channel cat on a jig. That was pretty fun on my little ultralite. We got a few bream and shellcrackers, but no crappie. We left around 1pm before the rains hit. I appreciate the tips that Pete shared with us, but it just didn't happen for us this time. It was good to get back out and wet a hook. Talked to a couple of other folks and they were blanked too. Oh well, better luck next time. Pete let us know how you do on High Rock. We might try it down there this weekend if the weather holds up and it's not too muddy.
