well, oologah lake was good to me today. caught a lot of crappie, had 5 over 15 inches and 3 over 14 ines and the rest 12 inches plus. caught around 25 crappie. the water temp in morning was 39.5 degrees and at noon 40.5 degrees. i caught all my crappie around 22-24 ft deep. i was also using minows.
im thinking heading out torrow morning, since this winter mix is low pressure coming in. crappie usually turn on when there's a big low pressure.

Sounds like minnows was the way to go, I was out there this afternoon and only managed 7 keepers on jigs. I fished my "usual" spots where I had been catching good numbers but it just didn't work out today. Most fish I caught were 19 - 24 ft deep, in 24 ft of water. When I pulled up to my first pile there was a boat nearby, they were using minnows and catching them quite a bit faster than I was. Looks like I'll be bringing some along next time.
Oh yeah by the way you guys are CRAZY, it's supposed to be 25 degrees tomorrow morning! Now that's dedication!
May decide to go myself, but if I do, will prolly put in at Talala Creek.
Good report Red.

Looks like I should've gone today too, it didn't get as cold as they said it would last night and it's 47 right now.

Yep that was me. How long did you guys fish? I probably need to start showing up earlier than 2:45 in the afternoon - doesn't give me much time to experiment.
BTW let me know if you want to trade boats .
