    Default Newbie Rod Question

Hey guys, Looking to get into trolling/spider rigging and have some questions. I am looking to get a couple B&M 10' rods to start with and plan to pair them with spinning reels. I have not seen the rods with a spinning reel eye (larger first eye). Do you have any problems using spinning reels with what I would consider a casting rod (smaller first eye)? I don't see a problem for spider rigging, but was more concerned about casting during trolling. Also, is $35 each for these rods a good price or are their better options?

    Thanks for any help!

I have always used spinning reels on my long poles, and have never had one with the larger eyes. Since you are not casting, it does not pose a problem, at all.
