    Default Rod ferrules?

I have a long one piece rod that I like to use for trolling for hybrids and white bass and am looking for something that I can cut the rod in two and add ferrules to it like the older fiberglass rods use to be made. Don't care about what it does to the action just want to make the rod easier to store. I have looked around but can't find any does anyone know where some might be available.

do you have a old broken rod laying around, just find the section that will slip over the rod that you cut. Stop by a tackle shop and ask them who repairs their rods for them. This is what they will do with it.

Measure your blank where you want the ferrule with dail calipers. They are in 1/64ths. of an inch. Order it one size larger than you need {allows for rod taper} Shim it with masking tape {if needed} And apply with hotmelt gluestick, and it should serve you just fine.
