    took off early today around 1230 and wen tto my aunts and uncles pound. it was the frist time i have crappie fished this pond they have had this place goin on 7 yrs and just found out last yr that they had crappie in so i gave it a shot today on my 2nd cast i lost the biggest crappie that i have ever seen i lost it about a foot from shore broke the line so after retieng i caught this big boy 43.5 lb grass carp snaged it in its tail i was useing a 4.5 ft ultra light with 2lb line 25 min later got him in i fished until 330 and right before i quit at 330 i lost another hugh fish that was bigger that the frist one they were both close to 2lbs but had fun i cleaned 32 today smallest was 11.5 and the biggest was 15.5 and this is the same pond that my daughter caught her big 8.5lb bass out of im thinking that this pond may have sum

    Sounds like fun for sure.

    But you gotta tell me how you get that trash in weighing what it does but lost the Crappie????

    im still asking myself that same question how can i land a carp but cant get a crappie in and im still kicking myself in the butt for it next time im taking my 9 ft landing nest

    Shame about the big-uns but it sounds like you still had a banner day,stay after em i'd like to see a pic of some of the thumpers that pond has to offer.
