How come them boys have to get out in the good weather and not the bad, oh well at least they don't bother us in bad weather...... good to hear you limited out...... did you have a lot of company?
Went back to the dead water today and limited out again, took my son and he had four nice crappie. (Oh dad put a whip'n on him today). The crappie were still hugging the bottom, caught most of them 20 feet of water and the water temp was a balmy 37.7 degrees.
Got to the ramp and the Water Patrol was checking boats and we also got checked by a game warden on the water, so if you plan on going down there anytime soon make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
Not as bad as I thought it was going to be, maybe 10 to 12 boats in the dead water channel, Friday there was only about 5 boats. I caught a ton of nojoes today, the fishing slowed down after the cloud cover arrived around 3:00pm
Glad to hear you did better than us today. Me and a friend are going below the dam monday to do some walleye fishing, maybe I can talk him into trying to catch some crappie.
did they cut the discharge off yet?

Me, camo boat, and one other guy were there yesterday in the deadwater arm. You must be a lot better than us cuz we only pulled one bass out of there all day. We caught a couple shorts farther down off the docks but that was it. Glad somebody could do good though!
I was down there from about noon to five thirty Sat. afternoon in my big white boat, we caught all of our fish around the first private dock to the back of the channel. We never did go to the the mouth Friday or Saturday, I had to put on a 1/8oz and a 1/16oz lead head to keep it close to the bottom because of the wind. Seemed like they wanted to hit it on the drop, going to try it again Thursday or Friday.
Nice job! Congrats
