the humidity is probably doing it...i would find the silica water trapper and try them
I have several tackle boxes with plastics in them. After they been in there for a while they start deteriorating. How or what do yall do to keep your plastics from breaking down and getting sticky and stuck together?

Some new boxes have dividers made of material that fights moisture. I put a toothpick in each compartment to absorb moisture, some people use a few grains of rice.

I have never really noticed my plastics deterioting but they do kind of dry out and stick together sometimes. I usually just add a drop or two of worm oil to each compartment and work the baits around with my finger to lubricate them. I have never noticed moisture affecting them, but my storage compartments stay pretty dry. I do take a piece of self adhesive vinyl film and apply it to the lid of my storage boxes to keep the sun from bleaching out my jigs. I usually use a white or light gray so it does not generate a lot of heat. Any vinyl sign shop will usually sell or give you a piece of their scrap material. The sun and heat may be a partial cause of your problems.
All good tips. I give'um a try.
Thanks

Got some plastics I bought in bulk, they have a lite coating of mineral oil on them to preserve and keep from sticking together. Sometimes before fishing for the day I will take a couple or so put in sandwich plastic bag with a few drops of fish oil, sometimes it helps.
