Todays catch from Toledo Bend

Here they are the most recent pics from Toledo bend. The ladies are dot and edie-mae (sisters) from Shreveport. They came down to the lodge over the weekend for a try at the crappie and did pretty good for a couple of city ladies. After Edie found out that crappie wouldn’t fit through the first eye of her 10’ rod and I didn’t have to jump up in the air to get the fish off we got along pretty good. Dot on the other hand would sit quietly in the back of the boat and well rope them in. she said they were too big for her to lift with the rod and didn’t want to break my rod. The guys are a couple of Tulsa boy’s that heard about the crappie doing it on “The Bend” and decided to come for a couple of days of rod bending action. These pics are of this morning’s trip. We started about 9:00 and came in for lunch at noon; it’s about 80 total fish. Some of the bigger fish went about 2-1/2 and lots of smaller ones

Can anybody help me---I'd like to come down to Toledo Bend and fish for
crappie the end of Feb. Places to stay ?? and any help that time of year ??
