    jon kirby from olathe ,ks. he is a fishing buddy of my close friend. they found his boat and his dog , the boat was out of gas and floating.

    not sure life jacket would have helped, water is so cold, but at least you got a chance with a life jacket on......

    Our thoughts go out to the victim and the family and may they find peace and closure. It should remind us that we wouldn't want our family's lasting impression of our favorite sport to be that it took us from them prematurely. Be safer in 2010.

    he was a big muskie fan, they think he may have been trolling and rod got hung up may have stood up to try to get it undone and fell overboard while boat was still in gear. very sad day....
