Default Something we need to do.

I posted this on another site a few days ago. Thought I would post it here for everyone to see. This is an example of what a guide does in his spare time. A few months ago I got a call from Brad Whitehead ( Crappie Connection Guide Service in North Alabama 256-381-7231) for some help. He was invited by a local Boy Scout troup to do a siminar. 17 kids, man he needed help. I met Brad for one of the best nights that I can remember. 2 hours of fun. We carried both boats, GPS, maps, baits, and samples. Just think 17 kids in your boat! They were great. Can`t wait until we get invited again. We talked about safety, GPS, bait building and fishing. If you get a chance to do this DO IT !!!!

The samples were supplied by THE ORIGINAL FISH FORMULA

    Woah!

That is "way cool" as my kids say to me when they like something.
I was in girl scouts as a kid and can't remember doing anything more exciting than building sit-upons out of newspaper.
I can't imagine an evening spent having more fun (even if it was work too)
    Super great idea!

    Exclamation

Before everyone gets excited, we didn`t go out in the boats. We just had a great time at their meeting. 17 would be too many for my boat also.

Heck, that's a usual trip for me when my SIX kids all want to go at the same time. lol I can only take a few at a time in my rig. It's just a wonderful thing to take a kid fishing. That's how I became a diehard.

    Default scouts

i spent some time as a scout leader (6 years) and i must say the event i remember most was the "fish-o-rama" our pack had 28 boys and there were at least 20 other packs from around the sate there. each kid brought a parent and camped and fished fro 2 days......prizes were given and those events created quite a few future crappie.com members......

that many kids from ages 7-13 can be a handfull but it was worth it

I bet a lot of the kids will remember a lot of stuff from that evening.
And it just may turn them into a fisherman for life..

I know when I was bass fishing, Our club had a fish day every year. WE would all take 1 or 2 kids that did not get to go fishing. And they loved it. Always caught fish, may have been small fish. But they would catch something. Theres times I will see one or 2 of the kids I took. and they still fish and love it.
