For those of you who don't visit the Off Topic Forum there's a thread there that may interest you.

Over a period of time in the chat room we learned that Anchor Puller has been fishing with her kids and her Dad out of a flat-bottom boat that has an outboard but no trolling motor. She’s posted some nice pictures on the main board. She also mentioned one time that her husband was recently laid off from work and mention another time that he has no interest in fishing. So Crappie Reaper thought it would be nice if some of us got together and got Anchor Puller a Trolling motor for Christmas. As a guide I get a good discount from Minn Kota so I offered to take care of the funds for the project and order the trolling motor.

We would also like to get her a good battery and a charger designed for charging deep cycle batteries. Between what has already been sent through my PayPal account and what folks have said they are mailing in we’ll have enough funds to get everything.

While we’re at it we would also like to send Ed a token of our appreciation for Crappie.com so I will send all remaining funds to him to help with expenses related to providing and maintaining Crappie.com. If you wish the help with these projects please feel free.

Here’s a link to the thread in the OT forum: Present for Anchor Puller (http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showthread.php?t=12245)

Just got through with Paypal. As they say "check is in the mail". Guess that should be "check is in the email". Thanks Jerry for stepping up for this good deed.

Thanks for being a part of this Jeff. It wasn't my idea though - Crappie Reaper came up with it and I just offered to help. I need something to do this time of year - hardly anyone wants to go fishing! :)

I am humbled by your kindness Jerry, thanks, but the "reel" winners are all of us here on Crappie.com.
Merry Christmas all!
