Where to find clean plastic 55 gal

I want to build me a minner tank. What is a good source to look for that would readily have them. Has anyone built a tank with it laying on its side?

go to a car wash and get one that had soap in it. Rinse real goos and you are in business. I built one from a 55 gal tank and didn't set it on it's side as I would have to bend over too far to work with it. I liked the height of the 55 gal drum standing up. Maybe a Flea Market?... just outside of Ohatchee Alabama on hwy. 77 they sell them on the side of the road if you're ever in the area.

One that contained soap is prolly ok... but I'd look for one that had contained corn syrup and still had the label on it.

.A large bakery that makes pecan pies will have some that had corn syrup in them.

Check with your local water dept. They may have some empty ones at their tratment plant.

Florists get that blue stuff to keep flowers alive longer in 55 gal plastic barrels. I have picked up a couple of them from local florists.
