    Default question about bait shapes


    I have looked at several sites and see different baits people post that they have made. Are they carving these out of wood and them making a mold for them or are they using clay. They are not from molds they bought. I just wondered if they turned them on a wood lathe or what. They seem so smooth and perfectly shaped.

    I think some are lathed but I know alot a of them use balsa and just sand the heck out of it

    Thats what I was thinking MO, I know some of them are clay as I finally read that. I still think some were formed from balsa that was sanded like you said

    I might have to check you tube and see if they have a video on forming them out if clay. That would be great for non skilled wood guys such as myself
