    Default Non-petroleum distillate based oil

I bought a H&K P30 CO2 pellet pistol a few weeks ago and the manual says to use the above type oil on the moving parts. Have to use a drop or two on the CO2 capsule of Pelgunoil but ATF works for that so as not to damage the seals. I tried to look up brand names of some of the above but so far no luck, may just not know what I'm looking for, CO2 airguns seem pretty picky as to what you can use on them. I live in a small town with no airgun support just WM and auto parts type stores. Remoil states on the package that it is a petroleum distillate based oil. Anyone know for sure any brand named oils that are not petroleum? Just a fun plinker, not too accurate even with a laser sight, but I can shoot it off my back poach unlike my Ruger 22/45 LR pistol. This is the manual, oil is under care on page 20.

I see this in an air gun forum. Interesting comment. You may want to poke around in the site.

If you bought it at WM they should have the oil it requires to use on it. I know they sell air pistols and rifles I would think they would have the oil to lube it with. EB

I have a suspicion the synthetic oils for cars and aircraft will work (Mobil Jet Oil II for jet engines comes to mind), but nobody sells them in little squirt tubes as they are engine lubricants. Another thought silicon oils, but they may not be "robust" enough for the application.

WHOOPS- got to be careful, stuff like Mobil Jet Oil II were heck on elastomers when they first came out. The industry did some fast adjusting. Any elastomers in your air gun may swell if exposed to this stuff- even the automotive stuff could cause problems with the wrong elastomer.

I didn't get it at WM, they didn't have the one I wanted, order over the net. According to Tom Gaylord's airgun net any pure silicone oil will work. Now all I have to do is find some. All I can find at WM and the local gun shop is Remoil and 3-in-1 and they both are petro oils. Will try Lowes and the local sewing machine store. May have to order some.

Aren't there pure silicon oils for lubricating reels at WM?
