Christmas trees

Smithville guys-not sure if I posted this before.
Clay county parks have a tree drop off at various ramps after Christmas.I believe in march or april the COE will ask for help to bundle them and drop in the water.The plus side is the volunteers get to learn where all the brush piles are.They are marked on a map at the main office,but a lot of people don't know about it,and you have to ask to look at the map.

I work weekends,so I haven't been able to do it yet.Its usually on a sat. about 11:00.I will make a point of trying to get the date in advance so I can ask for the day off.I would like to see them drop a few that are fishable from the bank,at the moment there is only 1 and its a loooong cast.

Maybe it would be a good time to meet each other,put in some work,grab a few wings and beverages at Hooters afterward.Kinda early,but will keep my eye out for a date.

cook, thanks for the fine project. hope you are using last years trees, I like aged trees better with the pines all off, attracts less algae. dmac is good help, but didn't know you crappie fish! a little out of the way for me, but good work none the less. I will work on the central part of the state.
