I've got a War Eagle 1648 that I'm trying to set up for Spider Rigging and Trolling. War Eagle make a single rod holder that uses the T-rail on the boat. But they are proud of these and their is littl to no adjustment on them. Does anyone know of another manufacturer that uses the T-rail to mount thir holders?

Or have any pictures of how they set up their Aluminum Jon boats?

Anybody got any pics of the t-rail setup from hitek? I asked Scott about them when I was ordering mine and he said he makes them but I have never seen them.

I will try and post some pics mounted on the boat tomorrow but here is a picture of the post. There is just a flat bracket welded to the riser post.

Would the hi-teks on the t rail be ideal for crankbait trolling?

I am wondering the same thing. It seems like the rod might pop out of the holder. I talked to Scott and he said he trolls with them. I also saw another post where a guy added a side bracket to the holder so the rod couldn't pop out.

I also have the t-rail and would rather use it rather than drill holes.

I emailed Scott about this earlier. He said the rods might roll alittle in the holder but never to the amount of falling out. "This will happen if you have the rod tips down and catch something solid close to the surface." He also said he is protyping a rod holder that will hold the rod better in this situation.

Im keeping my fingers crossed, bc i want some.

Hiteks are great for trolling.

A 7 pound green carp could'nt pull my rod out of the holder just a few weeks back............the rod was bent to h*** and back......... but the rod never came out of the holder.

We came up with a minor little addition to the holders themselves to adjust to our style of trolling, but the holders are wonderful and look darn sharp on the boat.
