Does anyone have a diagram of these minnow rigs I read about? The Kentucky Lake rigs appear to have the weight in between the two hooks (I'm looking at a diagram in the Grizzly Jig catalog). Are the Capps and Coleman minnow rigs set up the same way, or is the weight on the very bottom, with both hooks above it? Which is best and why? Is it better to make up your own rigs, or are the purchased ones that much better? Thanks.

do yall spiderrigg these or what?
living life to its fullest, This is not a dressed rehearsal.
I think some people use either for spider riggin....
It's just a matter of preference.....
The Ky rig can also be used for bottom bouncin, stump knockin, or dunkin minnows in deep brush.....
The KY rig is good for keeping constant contact with the bottom......
The Capps and Coleman rig works best up in the water column....

I have tried different minnow rigs for spider rigging and you will have to pick the set up that works best for you. Try em all and you will have one set up that you like over the rest.

Capps uses a 90 degree swivel instead of a 45 degree angle swivel. They work better. Also drop down to a 1/4 or a 3/8oz weight
(This info I pass along I got from Ronnie and Steve themselves while listening in on one of the seminars at Grizzly last year when the rig was first introduced to the market.)
They said the position of the weight was important. The position for each weight class is not only specific between the two hooks but where in that span of line to make the two baits present correctly and not tumble or wobble. The three-way swivel is a 90 like has been said and the hooks are light wire aberdeen. They also pointed out that the packaging of the rig is plastic and not on paper which makes a difference in storage around water. As for the expense, I cannot atest to which is less or more. If I slow trolled or spider rigged a bunch, I would use the BnM Capps and Coleman rigs for time and convenience of use if nothing else. Their combined years of experence in developing and using these rigs this way don't hurt either. I can see how the other rigs would be good for bottom bouncing presentations.
