    What's a good reel for jigging set ups? spinner? baitcast? brand?

    i use spinning reels with 6lb test and a 10ft to 12 ft rod

    If it is just for verticle jigging, anything that holds line is fine. I use the $5 plastic reels.

    If you're gonna be casting jigs, get a good spinning reel. Don't go too small on the spool.

    are u going to be casting the jigs or vertically jigging them? for casting i use a 6'6 rod and for vertical i use the 10 or 12ft

    i use a 8'2 outlaw for casting and a 10-12ft outlaw for jigging....use US REELS on all my rods....

    spinning reel....if you dont mind spending the money you cant got wrong with a 180sx US REEL spinning reel

    I use a B/M 10' or 11' pole with a shakespeare minicast closed face reel with 6# test line for jigging.
