    Default New to the forums..hi

Hello. Just found this site. My wife and I have lived in Worcester for 10 years and no one I've ever spoken to likes crappie except us. Pan frying is the best! Just wanted to say hello and ask a couple of questions.

We normally fish in Rutland state park but does anyone hear live near the Worcester area that knows good crappie spots? We've fished in Wachusett reservoir for so long, and have caught so little (overfished IMO) it's frustrating to fish there. I am always kind of suspicious of where we fish since there is so much pollution nowadays. Any good bait stores that don't sell you 30% dead shiners when you buy them?

Thanks and nice to meet everyone.

Ever fish Quinsigamond? I've always wanted to and actually a friend of mine who lives in Worcester might take me ice fishing there before the seasons up. To be honest, I'm not all that familiar with the waters there because I mostly fish the south shore and cape cod. Welcome!

Well see, this is the thing about Quinsigamond. That stretch of water pretty much is the backyard where people live. The amount of trash I have seen in that water turned me off years ago. My wife told me many dead bodies were pulled out of that water...even someones head if I remember correctly. So I kinda avoid fishing there.

    Welcome from Illinois.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
