Default Favorite way to catch crappie

there are more ways to catch crappie than we can count. But I th ink each of us have a favorite way to catch them. I tightline 80% of the time. It is the most productive for me. I cast during the spawn, and crank during the summer. But, I guess it is my upbringing, I absolutely love to grab a extendable fibreglass pole and catch them with a cork and minnow in the spring. I absolutely love to watch that cork flip up and just ease under and away. That is my favorite way to catch them.

Any way I can catch a crappie is my favorite way. J/K I dont think anything compares to catching them casting a jig. That little line tap is a feeling that sends chills down my spine.

David, I'm with you on that one! I use that method most of the year but I put out 16 poles and slow troll with them. It's a widely used method in these parts.

    Default night fishing

I voted tightline minnows, I guess that is what you call nightfishing. I would like to try the daytime fishing I was just shown how to do it at night and just keep on doing that way. Maybe next trip I'll go earlier and try casting or tightlining over some brush.

I usually fish early mornings and no nights
so my favorite is drift the small lake with
bobber until I find them. I love to use my
13 and 20 ft telescopic poles...
