Default might have been a topis...SINGLE or DOUBLE jig?

Single has it's place, tight cover, picky fish, etc but if in open water I LOVE to use the 2 hook rig. Nothing better than a double slab hook up. Talk about a chinese fire drill...I use 2 "dropper loops" for my jigs so they have plenty of action. I space them about 18" apart and always make the top jig half the weight of the bottem? Why? Don't know I just started doing it thay way and it cut down on tangles so I stuck with it. Fish seem to like it better that way too. Plus another benefit is you get to fish 2 depths at once.

Any thoughts? Any double jiggers out there? Single jiggers aka purist ever use 2 jigs? I know people use 3 for trolling but I'm referring to vertical fishing.

You know, I've never done much vertical fishing with jigs, except under
a float - only used one then, but don't really know why. But I thought
it was interesting how, when I used to side-pull, I ended up with a real
similar set up to what you're using. 18" apart was my ideal spacing too.
    And I always used either a 1/8 above a 1/4 - or 1/16 over 1/8.
I can't really explain it, that's just what seemed to work best for me.
I didn't really know about dropper loops then, so I just used a tiny split
ring as a "junction" - main line, about a 3" dropper, and another dropper,
15-18" all tied to it. I was using Fireline main, and mono droppers, so
that worked good to join them together. Sometimes I have had trouble
with splice knots failing, going from Fireline to small diameter mono directly...

sac-a-lait what string do you use for that?
Got a picture of the rig? I'd like to study it.
