Minnow Traps While Nightstalking

Do any of you guy trap you own minnows? Do you make your own traps or do you buy the traps outright? For night stalking can you trap minnows instead of buying them? Our state laws prohibit introducing any kind of fish into state waterways and since there are plenty of bait fishing the lake already, why not take advantage of that?

Once you pull bait into your under water light, use a cast-net to catch you some bait fish. Make sure a cast-net is legal to use in your state.

I have one that i bought sometimes i,ll throw it over the side with bread inside works pretty well. I don,t know if the fish like them any better but they,re free.:D

Some states only allow the use of minnow traps or throw nets only during daylight hours so check your local regulations.
