Very nice looking boat. Looks like all your missing is rod holders.
Hey...I just got this boat about 6 months ago and wanted some feedback on it...
It is 16', 60" bottom, 88" across top of transom, 24" sides, all welded, 20 gal built in gas tank, diamond plate alum. front deck (about 1/2 way down), inside lighting, spalsh guard on transom that's self bailing, etc
I looked and looked for a boat but everyone wanted like $10,000 for a boat with less options. So I searched the internet and found this boat in Ohio. I drove from Mississippi to Ohio to pick it up. They said it was made to fish around the great lakes area so i figured it would be able to keep me safe on my home lake where it can get pretty nasty pretty quick. I was out in her this past summer and the waves built up quick like 2 footers and bigger. Boats were sinking at the ramp and taking on water and the new boat just took me in safely. I had a lil jon boat that I had before this, I actually fell out of it a few winters back and decided when i get a new boat it would be A) a boat that I wouldn't have to change EVER again (why keep spending 1,000-2,000 dollars on smaller jon boats) B) something that i would be HAPPY with fishing in. Every fisherman on the water askes me about it because it so wide.
LEt me tell ya. This boat by SmokerCraft is UNREAL. I love it. Sad thing is I think they quit making them. It ain't no 75mph slick Ranger but this boat has plenty of walking area's and the 40hp can carry a load. It will plane of with 700 pounds. Is rated for up to a 60hp or 825 pass weight and believe me we had 4 big boys on there (total weight about 950) and test it. It wouldn't plane with that much weight but it still slid into our favorite night time jug fishing spot. After all, when catfish and empty beers are your goal for the night, who's really in a hurry.
Oh and I got the boat for $7,300 plus I spent about $300 going up there and back.

That is a very sweet boat. Smokercraft knows how and builds a tough rig. They lay them out right as well. It will be the last boat you ever need. And a Yammy to boot. Nice work.
Enjoy. Go get it dirty!

About the same boat as I have in my 17' G3 but like the wider floor of yours better. I also have the 40 hp Yamaha. What pitch prop are you running. Mine came with a 17 and had trouble getting on plane at times, went to a 13 and made all the different in the world, lost about 2 mph from 32 to 30 mph top speed. My boat has a 21 gal gas tank and found out it runs better if I only have it ½ full at the most, less weight.
Good lookin boat!!!!!
