Mississippi River Backwater Crappies

Anyone having any luck in the Mississippi River backwaters since the water levels settled down? I was thinking about trying Big Timber in pool 17 this weekend. Heard they were getting some nice fish there before the water came up.

We were nailing quite a few nice ones on brush piles that we put in @ 7-8' deep in the back waters of pool 15, but haven't done anything since the river crested, except for way up in small flooded creeks. Catching some hogs back in them. I have thought about coming down your way to fish the Breaks and O'dessa's fill & spill ways. <,"}/>{ Rippa
