    Default areator freezing?

kinda shocked, when i checked on my minnows in my bait tank, my areator had froze? The stone was encased in ice. There was a small amount of ice skimmed here and there in the water, but the stone was solid? What the heck? i thought the areator moving water would keep it from freezing, let alone the stone feezing up solid.

Air going into aerator was cold enough to freeze the water around it. I don't use an aerator during the cold months. Water temps will keep the minnows metabolism down so they don't burn off a lot of oxygen.
