Great stuff, I just dust them with the same fish fry I use on the fish, Zatatrans. The large ones I cut a slit from one end to the other so the insides can cook up. After all fish is cook, drop them in the hot grease and turn off the fire. Let them cook until lightly crispy. Um um good.

"G" Gone but not forgotten!!
Scrambled with chicken eggs, floured and fried in bacon grease or rolled in cornmeal and deep fried. Try not to break the sacks and watch out they can pop in the oil. Tastes like egg yolk. I eat them once a year in the spring as my annual little ritual paying my respcts to the fish and a good spawn.

thank you gene and darryl, i just remeber it being good when i was a kid and i caught a few crappie through the ice with pretty full sacs and was thinking of trying it but forgot how they were cooked
i might try the zatarins cause im getting bored with Andys red, but i can get it in 5 lb bag cheap so i tend to use the andy's seasoning alot.
