Default things to do during cold weather/muddy water.

everyone else getting tired and frusterated with all the rain and muddy lakes? the other day decided to do something productive (fishing wise :D) and got up with a buddy and started making king rigs. for 3 days we were working hard at it. finally called it quits yesterday evening.

final tally 388 king mack rigs between the 2 of us of all sorts. some of which were sold at the local tackle shop.

i think im ready for the spring/summer saltwater fishing season :D

Yes sir, great idea. I always tie flounder rigs, teaser hooks, buctails and crappie jigs when conditions are unfavorable. Always revolves around getting a bite one way or another, doesn't it?

Many a rainy day Kim has cussed me after she comes home and the whole floor is covered with tackle, rods, reels, beer cans:D. Thats usually when I put new line on my reels, re-organize the tackle boxes, you know, prevenitive maintenece. The only down side is when I'm done I am really wanting to go fishing! Bad weather can't hold out much longer. Better days are on the way.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

I need to do this Pete... but all my stuff is at the beach. Hmmmmm...sounds like a good excuse to head down and pick it up.

Probably wait until it's a flat weekend. While I'm down I might as well pick up some black sea bass.

Thanks for posting the pictures Pete, a friend of had his storage building burn down with this Gravely lawn tractor in it. So stupid me decided to repair it. Every nylon bushing melted, gas tank, hydralic system melted. The engine only minor damage though, getting close now to finish it.

Make them without hooks....give the fish a chance. Shucks you could probably catch them without hooks.
