Hey yall, just wanted to say hello. It's great to find a place where we can exchange ideas and information about crappie, a fish we all love to chase, catch and eat. Down here in south Louisiana we have shallow water fishing for the most part but the fish still follow the same patterns as most places. Most of the places I fish are no more than 10' in the main bayou. I wanted to see how many of you catch "brown stripers" crappie? If you catch them you will know exactly what I am talking about. I was wondering what their range is and if yall catch them up north as well? Again great site and thanks.

    Welcome aboard.

There have been several posts recently with pictures of the racing stripe variety. I haven't seen any of them over here in GA, but the pics that were posted were from closer to you I believe.

    Default Hello!

Hey Jesse, it's good to have you on and I think you'll find alot on here that you like to see and love to learn. As far as the brown stripes, if you mean the racing stripe like Bhodges brought up, we have them all over around here just not in great numbers. Usually catch 1 every other trip or so. I call it a filet knife guide! :D
