    Default It's not staying hard

Hey, my 15 hp Nissan is not running right, seems to me it's still not getting fuel right. The bulb is not staying hard and feels real spongy... is that bulb suppose to be hard or spongy? Do you think the bulb is bad?

    Default bulb

could be the bulb or check valves in the bulb, might be a small hole in the gas line that is letting air into the line. I have had both in the past. Look over your line for cracking, look real close at fittings even under the hood and at any ideal clamps. The check valves should let you hear just the fuel sloshing back and forth if they are bad. Man i hate fuel issues.

I think it is the check valve in the bulb because sometimes it will get firm other times spongy

I admit I didn't know exact what to expect when I read the title of this thread

You have a really small leak in the bulb itself. I'd put a square piece of duct tape over it and see that makes it better. You can always take the tape off and it will tell you if there is pin hole in the bulb. I wouldn't leave the tape on there. Gas might cut the adhesive in the tape and suck it in. Just a thought. I've done it before on small engines.

You knew someone was going there. Perhaps a "fuel additive" would help!
