it all matters where you are fishing and what type of fishing you are doing...i use mostly 11ft for all around fishing but i do have a 7'2 for casting and shootin docks...if your just dippin trees then you will prob want a 12 for the reach...just remember the longer the pole the more weight that pole has to it...i know my arms feel like they are going to fall off after a full day of jig fishing with a 12ft pole...

Welcome, You Can't Have To Many Crappie Poles!! Always Take A Spare, So There Is The 10 And 11 Might As Well Just Get The 12 Footer To.
If you are keeping your rods in rod holders then I'd go with a 10' or longer. If you are going to be holding the rod(s)in you hand then I'd go with a 7 or 8 footer the longer the rod the more sensitivity you will loose.
All of mine are 10' and 11' except for one 8' that I built just to slide under the limbs that hang out over the water. The line on it goes through the middle of the pole so the line doesn't hang up on the limbs as you push it under. Try someone elses and buy what fits you and your style of fishing the best.
All good points mentioned above and you may want to consider how your going to transport them safely. I hate having rods longer than my boat and prefer to be able to tie them down flat on the deck so they get less tangled in the ruff stuff and on the way to the lake.

It aint the length of the jig pole, it's the action of the rod.
I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.
