From my experience, any color will work as long as its chartruce. Seriously, I think presentation is alot more important than color. However, I do stick by the addage: Dark colors on dark days or stained water, bright colors on bright days or clear water.

First what I have confidence (this is primary) in and then add in water color and clarity. Then maybe how deep and if the sun is out or if cloudy if need to get that far. Also if I am fishing aroung Hydrilla or something else.

On a bright day, I'll tie on a pink/pearl and a red/yellow/chart tail tube jigs, foot apart. If nothings going for either one, I might try black/chart, or try little 1 inch tubes in black/blue or black/red. If that doesn't work, I move to another spot.
