    Default spoonbill revisited

Catfishingguide.com - Trophy Blue Catfish, Spoonbill, Paddlefish, Snaggin' - Let's go fishing!

Well,Talked to Tony today-going to set it up this week once I find a reserved hotel room.About a 3 hour drive and I know after cast-jerk-reel-cast 1374 times I wont want to drive back!

Thanks everyone for the offers of gear and or going with them, but this will probably be a 1 time deal, just because I've always wanted to try it.I saved up 3 large jars of change for my mad money...will take it to the bank for the machine and see what I have to work with.

Its 3 months away, but he is pretty booked up except for march. The weather can be real iffy, but I'll have to take a chance.

I will ask if anyone has some good raingear/insulated coats bibs,etc.....just so I can prepare for the worst.I will pay a rental, trade meat(if I get one) or work something else out.32 waist...bout 5'10"...145#

You'll want some rain gear, if only because they can be a bloody mess if you noticed from the picture I posted in the other thread, you stay pretty warm because you work your hinney off. You will start with a couple layers to be warm and shed them accordingly.
Any of that cheap rain gear will do for a onetime outing.
Have fun, I can't wait myself.

Ditto what Quinn says. They can be a real bloody mess. If you don't have an old rubber rain suit, buy a cheap one. Bass Pro or Wally World should have what you need. Good luck and post some pics!

I use the Frogg Toggs. Everhart's has them and also a knock off of them. Around $15 for the off brand and up to $40 for the real deal.
