Hey All,
Does dock shooting work when its cold, never done it and its gonna be 50 deg. on thrusday.Might go to high rock and give it a shot, would any part of the lake be better than another?

There are some good deep docks in Abbots Creek near the Hi-way 8 bridge on the south side. If fishing Abbots that would be a good area to try. I noticed that the water level has dropped some in High Rock while crossing Abbots creek on Hi-way 47.

It will probably work but I have better luck when the water is this cold just dropping a jig straight down & holding it still in one place. When the water warms up they hit it better on the fall. That is when you "shoot" it back under the dock & let it fall or reel it slowly back to you.
Crappie fishing is my lighthouse of sanity in an insane world,
It keeps me from crashing on the rocky shores of everyday life.
