    Default Newbegun Creek

Went down to Newbegun Creek, (Weeksville, NC) today. I tried your suggestions Boscoe, but no luck. I think we were moving to fast. We did catch 6 keepers (trolling) along with 4 Bream, 6 white perch, and 1 raccoon perch. Water temp is slowly coming down. 73-79 today.

Fall transistion can be boom or bust, sounds like you did good for the conditions. I've never fished that far down in N.C. We used to go to Tulls Bay in the 70's this time of the year and fish around the duck blinds, good amount of limbs from the previous year's camo in the water with growth on it. If there are any old blinds down that way their a good place to try, just make sure they are empty duck hunters can get a little testy.

I guess some duck hunters have no sense of humor. There isn't many duck blinds in Tull's bay anymore. We have done quite well in Tull's Creek, at least until Isabel came thru.
