That's a catch and release right?
I see you live in the Blue Ridge Reservoir area and wondering if you fish Long Lake a lot. I go there once or twice a year and am looking for a good source of info on road/lake conditions.
If so, I might pick your brain in a few months after the snow melts and things start to dry out - that is if you don't mind me asking....:D

Hmmm, I thought I remembered reading something about bad levels in that and Soldiers annex or something. I'll have to look for it again.
Yes, there are mercury advisories but it's not a catch & release lake. Guess were just playing the semantics game...

Ha ha, you are hilarious Bruce! Hey cousinlll, you are right. Semantics it is. So do you ever eat fish out of that lake? What all do you catch in there? As I recall, they stock trout but there is walleye and something else in there....bass? Do they have crappie too?
Don't know about Crappie but along with stocker Trout there are Walleye & Northern Pike. Pretty good size Trout hold-overs also! Good facilities at the lake but getting there is sometimes an issue. Doesn't get that much fishing pressure so fish can get pretty big.
As far as the mercury advisories go, I don't eat that much fish to worry about it. I don't like cleaning fish and with limited fish consumption in my house - it's catch, take picture, and release.
