It is a float that slides on the line and then you use a float stop. You adjust the float stop to the depth that you want to fish. I tried to find a pic but haven't yet.

Slip bobber is a rig that allows you to fish deeper depths by not having the desired depth strung out while attempting to cast. Very easy and quick way to stay at the desired depth where the crappies will strike either using minnows or jigs. I only use it when fishing with minnows.

Whew! Thought you were talking about me short, fat, ugly, cave man attitude and social skills, and a few other things that can't be printed, thats what last girl friend said anyway. Time for a new one anyway! Looking for one with a nicer boat.

    Cool

Here is my rig after fine tuning for a few years.
I use 20# Braid for the main line and
6 or 10# Mono or Flouro leader about 12".
I tie on the leader below a swivel on the braid.
This way if you hang up you get the gear back and
just have to re-tie a new leader and get back to work.
I glue one bead to the bottom of the bobber to keep the
swivel from hanging up on the bobber.
Then a bead between the bobber and a string bobber stopper.
This is a very good adjustable depth rig that works well.

Thanks for this !A few questions.
What make slip bobber is that? It's a weighted one,no? How light/heavy a jig works with that rig?

    Cool

It's a weighted Wally Marshall. One of his bigger ones.
It'll handle a 1/4oz jig or maybe a little bigger.
    I use 1/4oz a lot.

I've used a slip Bobber for over 40 years using jigs. The picture shown is a very good example by bigmack.
