I use a bucks mini baitcaster for tightlining. If your going to do any kind of casting you may want to use an ultrlight spinning reel.

    Thanks Guys
I had a Shakespeare mirco synergy underspin that I had bought about month
ago to put on a ultra lite rod to dock shoot with. I put it on today and spooled it with #4 Mr Crappie yellow line. Don't know about 12' rod sticking out It will be something to get use to. The dock shooting is new to me as I have always drift fished creek chanels. I hope the weather holds out this coming weekend as I have just bought a different boat and the weather has been in the teens since I bought it. So I have been doing maintance and clean up I have just about got it ready to go. Cub

I always had problems with the Mr. Crappie line wrapping up on the tip of the pole. Me and Quick both use like a 8lb or higher plus you break off less often.
