    Default Crappie thru the ICE?

Has anyone gotten any Crappie thur the ice? I wish I could be the first to post that I've been catching, but that just isn't so. Being just 3 weeks post surgery from my second total knee replacement, I just can't get the Doc to release me to go fishin. Just kidding. I did go last year and didn't do any good. Then is when I started building a lot of Crappie Condos... WOW did that ever pay great dividends. Hope all of you guys on 2 good legs are out getting those papermouths to jump out of the ice... Let me know...

I've caught lots of Crappies thru the ice! Now, unfortunately my health
won't let me ice fish...BUMMER!!!!!! My two most productive lures
were Swedish Pimple and Rapala jigging minnow. Also caught many on
a Purist #14 black and purple.

    Sorry Wonder
I didn't get back on CC.com to get you an answer bout the ice conditions.. Pretty sure by now that the ice is safe enough... Give me a report on Fowler if you went? If I were to go now I'd fish just south of the standing tree. It's 12.5 FOW and lots of brush from floor to ceiling.. I know that the crappie in there range from 10"-15" with with the bulk of them at 12". Now that I'm on the mend I can't wait til the ice is off and can slip the boat in about March...
