Default How big a boat is needed for 2 people to safely fish from the bow?

Mine is 48 inches across the bottom. Just eyeballing it with my two fishing seats set on the bow it looks like it would take an awful lot of coordination and communication to pull it off without knocking each other overboard.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

I have a home made dual seat rig. The center of the pedastals are 34" apart. I can tell you it is close. You have to be on your toes all the time. Your butt is close to the sides of the boat. My boat is a bass boat 20' long. I guess a lot depends a lot on how wide the boat is where the seat center line is. just be SURE it is a safe setup.

A friend of mine fishes two on the bow of a 1648. He bumps 300, and the rest of us aren't skinny. Of course, there's not much freeboard.

I have 1448 and I have no problems what so ever. Plenty of room. I've even fished three, w/ one sitting on a small cooler.

I have fished out of a 20ft boat with 68in bottom with plenty of room for two on the bow. As big as you can afford. Of course i fish out of a 15 ft fisher ss go figure.

if your fishing with me, something about the size of an aircraft carrier would be ok, but you better wear your life jacket just in case:D

I have fished out of this boat with the owner and it is tight but can be done.

    Wider the better and safer.
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
