    Smile Simpson County Park


    Has anyone ever fished Simpson county park lake. It's about a 50 to 60 acre lake located on the north side of the Fenton Chrysler Plant. Ive heard they take some pretty nice slabs once in a while. I drove down there yesterday and looked around, looks fishy. Just wondering if anyone had any luck there.

    Went down and walked the banks today and pitched jigs at any cover i could find. Caught 9 crappie, 6 bass, and 1 channel cat. Had 2 crappie over 11 inches. Gonna have to try this lake come spring, sure looks like it has some decent crappie.
