    Default crappie tactic

I heard of a tactic the other day that I thought was cool.

Once you locate a school and catch a keeper, you put a hook in it with 15ft or so of line attached to a balloon or large bobber. Since they are a schooling fish, your attached fish will rejoin the school and swim with them. You can locate the balloon and locate the school.

    sounds interesting?

I wanted to go today, but I need one more deer for the freezer, so I got my shotgun ready to sit in the tree tomorrow in the snow. MD 2 day late gun season starts tomorrow. As soon as deer season is over, watch out crappie and yellow perch, it's on like a pot of neck bones.......LOL

A friend from the state called me today and said the yellow are holed up in the deep and ready to make a run.......... I got's me a spot on the Choptank where I loaded up on these the first week in february last year

and a few of these puppies

but this is what I'm looking fwd to the most on another tidal river

Tear-em-up these were from your neck of the woods last year:D

for some reason i want to say that hooking and balloning a fish to keep track of them is illegal but i'm not for sure .
know people that did it but that don't make it legal .

    Nice fish pics
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
