    Default Urban Trout

Hit the Urban Lake for a couple of hours today with my 3 year old. She smoked me three to none! She picked the bait, told me where to cast and reeled the fish in (most of the way) except for the 16" fatty. She needed help with that one all the way.

Awesome Dieppert! My best memories are of fishing as a kid. I hope my kids feel the same when they get older.

Hey Mark, great picture! I've been wanting to try out Blue Ridge Res. I heard they only have one ramp and it is dirt. Any troubles launching by yourself?

I was surprised at the size of the stockers they have been putting in. This is my first year fishing the urban lakes. There are two that are pretty close to my house so it is very convenient to take the kids for a couple of hours without too much hassle.

Thanks for sharing the pic. Hope to see more posts from fellow Arizonans!

    Az Fisher,

It is a one lane launch (dirt) max motor size is 10hp. Its in a canyon and bank fishing is pretty tough. The great thing about the lake is its about 5 miles long and the bank fisherman can only fish about a half mile of it on one side.I think it was rated top 10 lakes in the states. I live about 5 miles from it so if you are coming up let me know. The lake road is closed for the winter now and is probably frozen. I think it is one of the must see lakes in the state.
