    Default Liquid bunk spray

Is there anybody that have used this product, trying to make the bunks slick so the boat is easy to load and launch. Also what do you all use in the winter on your bunks to keep the boat from freezing to the trailer.

Silicone spray will work to keep the boat from sticking to the trailer. i have not used the bunk spray, our ramps are steep and i wouldn't want them to be slick.

Just buy a can of silicone spray lubricant. Next time you launch your boat, spray your bunks down with the silicone spray lube. It will be so slick that if your bunks aren't positioned correctly your boat will slide and wonder on the trailer, so make sure your bunks are adjusted to your boat (don't ask me how I know this ) If your trailer is adjusted to your boat properly, it will make loading and unloading twice as easy.

I don't know about the freezing stuff, I live in Fl.

Never had them freeze together.Of course if it did the water would thaw it quickly.

A freind at work told me to use pledge furniture polish, and it was so slick that I had to back it all the way down to the water to unhook the winch strap, or the boat would just slide off ( twice ) lol kinda wish I hadn't sprayed it on there.

seems to me if the boat was froze to the bunk, as soon as it hit the water it would float off, the force of the boat wanting to go up and gravity taking the trailer down would break the ice bond, if the bunks froze over while on the lake, they'd be plenty slick enough to load................never had this problem and really never thought of it, maybe its different north of the mason-dixon

My boat freezes to the trailer all time. When you back in, the boat will float the trailer. It takes a little time for the boat and trailer to come apart.

My dad sprayed some silicone spray on a alum V bottom many years ago. He drove it up onto the trunk of his Oldsmobile. The stuff is slick! Do NOT undo your transom straps until you are down the ramp. I speak from experience!

Guys I have lots of days where it takes 3 to 5 minutes for my boat to thaw enough to drop the trailer.
So No they do not un-thaw as soon as you back in. Fish until dark in temps that are around 20 degrees then drive 20 miles and back it in the water the next morning at dawn. Its stuck like a rock. LOL And thats in West Tn
Pam cooking spray also works. But I will never use anything again. Not fun when the boat leaves you at the ramp.
