    Question Humminbird


    Hey guys, Got a new Hb 565 for X-Mas this year to replace the HB 170 on the Bow of my boat, seems to work o-kay but the fish I-D & symbols going across the window are not real clear, depths of fish , bottom etc, the HB 170 is much clearer is this something that can be the norm, or should I send it back? all the other symbols are real clear Temp, volts, Depth, I tried to set it up diff. but it 's still not real clear , you can see the ID but real fuzzy

    Sounds like you need a replacement. Humminbird has great customer service.

    Thats what I"m thinking , but you know how gifts are ?may put a little more $ in and get me a Diff. one but don't like the Fuzzy stuff. THANKS

    Have you took the film off the screen. My cell phone was a month old before I even knew it had film on it.

    Well Yes the film is off , Did turn the contrast all the way up to 10 did sort of clear it a little? but don"t think you should have to use all the contrast ,

    I have a 565 and it is crystal clear. My opinion would be a faulty screen and would try and return it. I am curious of what bottom contour setting are you using? I have the best of luck with the whiteline and inverseness setting for the bottom reading. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Rollcaster..............

    Go to the electronics/trolling motor section and present the problem to Humminbird Greg. Factory rep. I have a 565 for 2 yrs now and really like it.
