    Question Outboard motor. ice.

Going down the 30th for a long weekend this week, I dont have a lift for the fishing boat so I launch it and keep it tied to the dock when we are down, watching the weather it looks like after thursday the temps will be below freezing all weekend, the question is will the power head on a Merc. drain down if it is sitting in the water and not freeze the block or do I have to keep pulling the boat out if it is not in use so the motor will drain, dont think I will have any problem below the water line as long as the lake isn't frozen, we have a dock deicer that keeps the area around our dock clear even it the cove is frozen all the way to the main channel.

with the deicer you should be okay just don't let the lower unit out of the water without draining the water out of the prop and upper . my johnson always has water so when i'm finished i have to raise the motor to tilt and water drains out?????
