    Default jig making question

    For those of you who may make your own jigs or know the answer, about how many 1/16 ounce jigs can you make out of 1 pound of lead approximately? I know it will very somewhat due to impurities and all but I would like a general idea. Thanks in advance

    Approx. 230

    16x16=256 - 10% = 230

    Hope this helps!

    What kind of pot are you pouring out of?... cast iron and ladle?... hot pot 2?... bottom pour Lee melter???

    The bottom pour Lee will produce the less oxidation of the 3... it'll also keep the lead hotter for a better looking raw jig!

    GCD I have not bought a pot yet, was trying to estimate cost and savings and such, I like the bottom pour pots, do you have any suggestions. Yeah I know about the water, I worked in a machining plant and we had a casting plant for aluminum blocks and I saw where they had an explosion and it melted everything in its path. It was not a pretty site
